Appointment of Pam Clark AO as Chairperson of Standards Australia Committee HE-004 Dentistry

Pam Clark AO assumes the role of Chairperson of the Standards Australia Committee HE-004 Dentistry, marking a pivotal point in her ongoing commitment to advancing dental standards nationally and internationally.

The HE-004 Dentistry committee reviews the acceptability for Australia of International Standards addressing the performance safety and specification requirements of dental products as well as clinically relevant laboratory test methods for dental products. Serving as the Australian mirror committee of ISO/TC 106 Dentistry, HE-004 members actively contribute to the International Standards for dental materials and equipment. Additionally, they provide comments on proposed International Standards throughout their developmental stages and advising Standards Australia on how to vote at each stage of development of an International Standard, including the Final Draft International Standard.

For more than three decades, Pam and her husband, Bill Clark, have been integral members of both ISO/TC 106 Dentistry and HE-004 Dentistry, demonstrating steadfast commitment to enhancing dental practices globally.

In 2006, Pam assumed the role of Federal President of the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), serving until 2010. Her dedication to the dental sector was further acknowledged in 2017 when she was admitted as an Officer of the Order of Australia. In 2022, Pam Clark AO was bestowed with honorary membership at the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS), recognising her exceptional contributions to the dental field both nationally and internationally.

Continuing her lifetime commitment, Pam continues to be recognised by the industry for her extensive and impactful contributions to the broader dental community.
